So maybe you don’t really know what an NFT is, but an ongoing auction for one can also get the winner free entry into every event at Protective Stadium this year.
The auction is a collaboration between Protective Life Corp. and the BJCC, and runs through March 10.
On the block is an NFT – non-fungible token – available through the OpenSea website. An NFT is a one-of-a-kind digital piece of artwork, sometimes described as a digital playing card. This particular NFT is a digital rendering of the stadium.
Along with the NFT will be two free tickets to every event at the new stadium this year, which includes UAB football, The World Games, Birmingham Legion, USFL and more.
“We continually search for ways to positively impact our communities, this time through innovative use of technology,” Rich Bielen, Protective president & CEO, said in a statement. “Protective Stadium’s NFT is another way for us to be a good neighbor and directly impact the community.”
